MKN: Jangan percaya ejen urus wang ehsan

Mangsa banjir di Kelantan dinasihatkan supaya tidak mudah terpengaruh dengan pihak tertentu yang mengaku sebagai ejen mengurus pembayaran wang ehsan RM500 kepada mereka.  

Setiausaha Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN) Datuk Mohamed Thajudeen Abdul Wahab berkata MKN menguruskan sendiri pengagihan wang ehsan yang diperuntukkan kerajaan itu kepada mangsa banjir berdasarkan maklumat lengkap pendaftaran.

Pihak tidak bertanggungjawab sengaja menimbulkan perkara itu kerana mungkin ada tujuan tertentu, kata beliau.

Tindakan undang-undang yang tegas akan diambil terhadap individu dan pihak yang terlibat, katanya kepada pemberita ketika meninjau khemah-khemah yang disediakan MKN untuk mangsa banjir di penempatan sementara di Bandar Utama.  

Mohamed Thajudeen berkata kerajaan pusat memperuntukkan sejumlah RM500 juta khusus untuk membantu mangsa banjir di negeri yang dilanda banjir bagi mereka memulakan kehidupan baharu selepas bencana itu.

Beliau berkata bagi mengelakkan sebarang penyelewengan, MKN juga bekerjasama dengan Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM), Jabatan Audit Negara dan Polis Diraja Malaysia.  

Beliau juga menyangkal dakwaan orang ramai bahawa pihaknya menumpukan penempatan sementara mangsa banjir di sekitar kawasan bandar dan mengabaikan mereka di kawasan pedalaman.

Katanya, setakat ini MKN telah memasang 937 khemah termasuk di kawasan bandar dan pedalaman di kawasan terbabit banjir di seluruh Kelantan.

“Daripada jumlah itu sebanyak 800 khemah dipasang di Gua Musang, Kuala Krai dan Tanah Merah,” katanya.

Beliau berkata MKN turut memasang 70 khemah di kawasan pedalaman membabitkan perkampungan Orang Asli.

Pengawal keselamatan didakwa dera anak

Seorang pengawal keselamatan mengaku tidak bersalah di Mahkamah Majistret Kuala Lumpur hari ini atas pertuduhan mendera anak lelakinya minggu lepas.
    
Dzolkeflai H M Nor, 48, didakwa telah menggunakan kekerasan jenayah dengan mendera anak di bawah jagaannya yang berusia 13 tahun di rumah mereka di Cheras pada 2 pagi 23 Januari lepas.
    
Dia didakwa mengikut Seksyen 31(1)(a) Akta Kanak-Kanak 2001 dan boleh dihukum denda sehingga RM20,000 atau penjara sehingga 10 tahun atau kedua-duanya, jika sabit kesalahan.
    
Pegawai Pendakwa Zuraimi Kamarozzaman tidak menawarkan sebarang jaminan atas alasan mangsa adalah anak tertuduh sendiri.
    
"Namun jika mahkamah membenarkan tertuduh diikat jamin, saya memohon supaya dipertimbangkan juga syarat tambahan iaitu tertuduh tidak dibenarkan berhubung dengan mangsa dan diminta melapor diri di balai polis terdekat setiap minggu," katanya.
    
Majistret Zuraini Abdul Razak tidak membenarkan tertuduh diikat jamin dan tiada penjamin yang hadir ke mahkamah hari ini.
    
Bagaimanapun, Zuraini berkata jika Dzolkeflai mempunyai penjamin, dia boleh membuat rayuan bagi mendapatkan jaminan.

Ketika rayuan, Dzolkeflai yang tidak diwakili peguam memohon tarikh sebutan yang pendek atas alasan dia perlu menjalani pembedahan mata bulan depan.
    
Mahkamah menetapkan 11 Feb untuk sebutan kes bagi tertuduh melantik peguam.

Bank Negara must prove that 1Malaysia Development Bhd's (1MDB) funds in the Cayman Islands have been repatriated by disclosing the local bank holding the funds and whether the firm has enough to pay off its RM2 billion debt, PKR said today.PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli said the central bank had authority under the Anti-Money Laundering Act to disclose these matters.He added that if the state investment vehicle had indeed repatriated the funds, it should be able to pay the RM2 billion it owed to local banks Maybank and RHB.He told Bank Negara Governor Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz to openly confirm if the RM7 billion in funds had truly been taken out of the Cayman Islands and returned to Malaysia; which local banking institution was holding the money; and whether the company has enough money to pay off its RM2 million debt to Maybank and RHB which it has sought a third extension."If Bank Negara is unable to confirm these, then it only strengthens speculations that the money was never brought back," he said in a statement today.1MDB's group executive director Arul Kanda Kandasamy said the funds, totalled at around RM7 billion, had been taken out of the Cayman Islands and repatriated.Rafizi said if the money had been brought back but the company still needed an extension to pay the loan, it only confirmed that the company was facing a cash-flow problem.He said government bodies supervising the country's financial and banking systems, like Bank Negara, must accept that 1MDB was a company with financial problems and brought high risk to the nation's finances and its financial system."I understand that Zeti may be in a difficult position because 1MDB is backed by (prime minister) Datuk Seri Najib Razak. But the time has come for her to act independently and sternly to safeguard the interest of the people."Bank Negara's job is to ensure the best value for our currency and to safeguard the stability of our financial and banking system, not protect a troubled company like 1MDB," he said.Rafizi also urged Bank Negara to reject 1MDB's extension request because allowing it would give a dangerous signal to the market when the value of the Malaysian currency was spiralling.Considering the high indebtedness of 1MDB and the risk it posed to the stability of the financial and banking system, he said such a move would cause investors to take their money out of Malaysia, and subsequently hurt the ringgit further."If our sovereign rating plunges because of 1MDB, Bank Negara also bears responsibility for not being firm and transparent in dealing with the risk caused to the country's financial and banking system by the company."Since the situation is getting more complex with the latest extension request by 1MDB, I ask Zeti to spend some time with a delegation of Pakatan Rakyat MPs in two weeks' time to hear what we have to say about the company," he said.DAP national publicity secretary Tony Pua also took 1MDB to task for requesting a third extension to repay the RM2 billion debt.Pua said 1MDB was "holding Malaysian banks hostage by seeking a third extension for its overdue RM2 billion loan" and urged Putrajaya to conduct an audit of the company's 1MDB finances.He said Putrajaya must audit the fund following its latest request for an extension.Pua also questioned why 1MDB couldn't have used the funds redeemed from the Cayman Islands to repay its loan. – January 28, 2015.

Coroner rules police, other inmates to blame for detainee’s death

Lawyer Eric Paulsen (right) talking to media with his clients, Karuna Nithi's mother Katijah Bebee and family members. – The Malaysian Insider pic by Nazir Sufari, January 28, 2015.A coroner today ruled that policemen and inmates were responsible for the death of an unemployed man while he was detained at the Tampin district police headquarters in Negri Sembilan two years ago.Coroner Datuk Jagjit Singh said the cause of death of P.Karuna Nithi was caused by 49 multiple injuries by blunt objects including physical assault, abuse and unlawful acts by persons unknown, inclusive of police officers and other detainees where Karuna Nithi was held.Jagjit, who is a Sessions Court judge in Seremban, said in his verdict that there was failure or omission to provide the necessary medical care and attention required by Karuna Nithi."There was also failure of the police officers to stop other detainees from abusing Karuna Nithi in the police lock-up."This is the second verdict this month where police have been found responsible for the death of detainees in police custody.On January 16, coroner Ahmad Bache held police responsible for the death of lorry driver P.Chandran through their omission to provide him with timely medical assistance.Chandran had been detained at the Dang Wangi police station in Kuala Lumpur on September 6, 2012 and was held for four days before his untimely death.Jagjit said having gone through all the evidence, he was satisfied that the cause of Karuna Nithi's death was due to a combination of unlawful acts and omissions by person or persons unknown."The deceased was a healthy adult with no life threatening diseases when he entered the lock-up but ended up dead three days later with 49 external injuries," he said.He said a custodial death with that number of injuries should have "rung alarm bells from the word go".Jagjit said he rejected the evidence of forensic pathologist Dr Sharifah Safoorah Syed Alwee after extensive examination of the shortcomings in her testimony."She had erroneously found that the cause of death was due to 'fatty change in the liver'. But this cannot be so when the deceased had 49 external injuries," he said.Jagjit said closed circuit television footages from the police station clearly revealed Karuna Nithi was beaten by other inmates and the cops on duty were privy to what happened.He said some policemen had also contributed to the beating, harassment and bullying based on evidence adduced from the CCTV.Jagjit admitted that Karuna Nithi was a difficult detainee, adding "but that was no reason to ill-treat him"."He was repeatedly transferred from one cell to another because he was having hallucinations, raving and ranting," he added.The judge said a policeman also testified that Karuna Nithi’s welfare was neglected because it was thought that he was only pretending to be sick while in the lock-up.Karuna Nithi, 42, was found unconscious inside his cell by a policeman who went to check on him at about 6pm on June 1, 2013.He was rushed to the district hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.Police had detained him at about 5.30pm on May 28 after his wife lodged a report that he had assaulted her following a quarrel at their home at Rumah Rakyat Taman Muhibbah in Gemencheh.Karuna Nithi had also lodged a report earlier in the day admitting he had assaulted his wife because he could not take her verbal abuse.He was taken to the Tampin magistrate’s court the following morning where a four-day remand order was issued.On May 31, he was charged with causing hurt and was allowed a RM4,000 bail but was taken back to the lock-up because his family could not post the amount to secure his release.Police have maintained there was no physical abuse involved in his death although family members alleged there were fresh injuries on his body.Lawyer Eric Paulsen, who appeared for the family of Karuna Nithi, said this was yet another landmark verdict which the authorities must take serious notice of."The judge reiterated a Court of Appeal ruling last year that not a single person should die in a police lock-up. This is also a small victory for human rights," added Eric, who is also executive director for Lawyers for Liberty.He said Dr Sharifah was supposed to "speak for the dead person" but her findings were not justified.Co-counsel Dr Dheeraj Bhar, who was a medical doctor, said the rejection of Dr Sharifah's evidence had to do with her credibility as a professional."I hope the Malaysian Medical Council will look into this in light of what the judge  concluded," he added. – January 28, 2015

Penggodam itu juga dilapor mengugut akan menyiarkan foto bogel bintang berusia 24 tahun itu, lapor portal berita CBS News.

Swift mempunyai lebih 51 juta pengikutnya di laman Twitter, sekali gus menjadi antara artis paling banyak pengikut di laman sosial itu.

Penggodam turut memecah masuk akaun Twitternya dan mula menyiarkan mesej menggesa peminatnya mengikut profil @lizard, yang mendakwa menjadi ketua kumpulan penggodam "Lizard Squad".

Bagaimanapun tweet itu segera dipadamkan dan Swift berjaya mengawal akaun Twitternya semula dan dengan memadam ugutan itu.

Beliau malah mengejek penggodam itu dengan berkata:

"Bergembiralah Photoshop (ubah suai) gambar bogel saya kerana mereka TIDAK DAPAT APA-APA," kata Swift pagi ini.

Kurdish fighters have expelled Islamic State militants from the Syrian border town of Kobani, a monitor and spokesman said.(Photo: Bulent Kilic, AFP/Getty Images)BEIRUT — The Islamic State's offensive against Kobani, Syria, began quietly, almost unnoticed in the international press, in July of last year.The group's fighters had just swept through large parts of northwestern Iraq, sending the ill-prepared and ill-motivated Iraqi army fleeing and capturing many heavy weapons in the process.Rather than focusing their might on a push eastward in Iraq, toward Baghdad, they brought a great deal of those weapons to Syria, to the edge of the Kurdish area of control around Kobani.The siege that followed would develop into one of the most closely followed battles of the Syrian war.Despite its small size, the fight for the city, home to some 45,000 before the fighting began, would take on symbolic significance and become a crucial test for the U.S. strategy to push back the Islamic State, also known as ISIL or ISIS.After facing the prospect of the city falling on more than one occasion, the Kurds declared victory in Kobani on Tuesday, claiming to have pushed ISIL out of the city and sent them on the run in the surrounding area.Last SlideNext SlideSo how did it happen? How was the Islamic State's seemingly unstoppable advance halted in this non-descript town?The island of KobaniOne only has to take a quick look at a map to see why Kobani was an attractive target. It is relatively small and stands apart from the other Kurdish areas of Syria — an island in a sea of ISIL control.The border with Turkey lies immediately to the north, close enough so that when fighting was raging throughout the previous months, television cameras could capture every explosion and boom of artillery fire from a hill of the Turkish side. More on that later.The capture of Kobani would have provided a number of strategic benefits for ISIL. It would have given the group control of another yet key border crossing, cementing its control of a long stretch of the border from Jarabulus in the west to to Tal Abyad to the east. Controlling that stretch would have made it easier to bring fighters into Syria from Turkey and severely disrupted the ability of Kurds to fight back across north-eastern Syria.The Islamic State's offensive was launched in early July. The villages of Zor Mughar, Beyadi and Ziyarete — to the west of Kobani — were the first to fall. By September, the group went on to capture 300 villages surrounding the city limits before pushing on to control around half of the city itself.The situation looked bleak. Tens of thousands of refugees spilled over the border into Turkey, abandoning their cars when the roads became clogged. The poorly armed fighters of the People's Protection Units (YPG) — the main Kurdish militia in Syria — and the city's remaining residents were all that stood in the way of an emboldened ISIL, who were yet to suffer a major defeat in their most recent expansion.A clear blue skyKobani could have easily suffered the same fate as so many other, larger towns that the Islamic State had overrun. But when Kurdish fighters were struggling to defend their ever-shrinking part of the city, a solution came from the clear blue sky.On Sept. 23, in an effort to stop the advance of the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq, the United States began bombing the group's positions across the territory it held.Nowhere was the force of that campaign felt more than in Kobani. The city and its surroundings were the target of around half a dozen airstrikes every day, according to the Associated Press. The more than 700 airstrikes rained down on the area, constituting 80% of all coalition strikes in Syria.With the help of air support, and despite some back-and-forth, the defenders of Kobani were able to win back the city, neighborhood by neighborhood.U.S. Central Command gave a cautious statement on Tuesday, saying that anti-Islamic State forces controlled about 90% of Kobani.The airstrikes were to have a "crucial" impact on the defense of Kobani, according to Alan Semo, a member of the foreign affairs committee of the Democratic Union Party — the largest political force in Kurdish Syria and sister organization of the YPG."The last week has seen an intensive bombing campaign that has made a big difference," he told GlobalPost on Tuesday.Another factor that contributed to the success of the Kurds was the close coordination between the coalition and fighters on the ground — a first, and something could prove an effective model to be replicated elsewhere.But although the coalition played an important role in supporting the fighters on the ground, ask any of them who the victory belongs to and they will likely answer "the Kurdish people."There is some truth to that. The battle in Kobani, and in other Kurdish areas threatened by the Islamic State, has heralded a period of Kurdish cooperation unseen in recent history.In Kobani, as well as in Sinjar and Shingal in Iraq, something akin to a national mobilization occurred, bringing together Kurdish fighters of different nationalities and political stripes.In all those towns, once overrun by ISIL, Peshmerga fighters from the semi-autonomous Iraqi Kurdistan fought alongside guerrillas from the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) — a militant group that fights for Kurdish autonomy in Turkey.Speaking to GlobalPost in December, the military chief of the PKK, Cemil Bayik, said that the ISIL offensive had backfired in that sense."ISIL is a great threat to the Kurds, but ISIL at the same time, unwillingly, served to unite us. Because despite our internal differences, the threat has brought together Kurds from all parts," he said.The world watchingIt's easy to see why Kobani became a rallying point for the Kurds. But the same is true for the U.S. and the Islamic State.Its close proximity to the border meant that the battle was broadcast into living rooms around the world. When a strategic hill fell to ISIL, when a neighborhood was lost, the world heard about it. It was because of this, at least in part, that U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry declared it would be "morally very difficult" not to help Kobani.Both sides quickly recognized the propaganda value of the battle, and both sides poured significant resources into the fight. That has come at a cost.More than 1,000 Islamic State fighters are thought to have been killed in the fight for Kobani, according to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which monitors deaths in the Syrian civil war.In the last days of the battle, activists reported that ISIL sent inexperienced fighters and teenagers to the front line due to a shortage of recruits.Aside from the physical damage to the Islamic State's ranks, the defeat is likely to have an impact on the group's morale.The Islamic State is a group that claims its victories are awarded by God. That was easier to pass off when it swept through Iraq and Syria last year, and worked as a powerful recruitment tool. But now the group's limits have been revealed.The defeat in Kobani also comes at a time when ISIL gains elsewhere are under threat.Kurdish forces recently broke the ISIL siege of Mount Sinjar, where hundreds of civilians had fled following a brutal offensive on the towns and villages below.The Iraqi army is making progress against ISIL in Diyala province and preparing, along with the Kurdish Peshmerga, to launch an offensive on Mosul this summer.It would be premature to call Kobani the Kurdish people's Stalingrad, as some people would have it. Or even Islamic State's Waterloo. What it is though, is a defeat. A Malaysian terrorist was reportedly killed when Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) fighters yesterday clashed with Filipino government forces. – Reuters pic, January 26, 2015.Malaysian terrorist Zulkifli Hir or Marwan, who is also Southeast Asia's most wanted, was reportedly killed in a clash between Filipino government forces and Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) fighters yesterday, the Philippines Daily Inquirer reported.The report said today that Marwan and another terrorist, Basit Usman might have been killed in the clash near Cotabota, southern Philippines.However, MILF chief for military affairs Von Al Haq said that the Philippine National Police Special Action Force (SAF) commandos encountered and clashed with Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) when the government forces came to serve a warrant for Zulkifli's arrest.“They were also after Basit Usman," Al Haq was quoted as saying.Marwan and Basit were experts in making bombs and active with Indonesia-based Jemaah Islamiyah terrorist group.A police source also confirmed Marwan's death with the Filipino daily, saying the terrorist had been killed with other BIFF members.“They were trapped and may have run out of bullets during the fierce firefight," the source was reported as saying.It said that Marwan had a US$5 million (RM18 million) bounty on his head for his role in several terror attacks which had also put him on the United States' Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) most wanted list.The report said that preliminary details of the clash were sketchy.Military and police officials earlier said that SAF commandos had been been involved in the clash with suspected BIFF terrorists in Mamasapano town, Maguindanao.But an MILF official was quoted as saying later that the SAF commandos had intruded into territory controlled by the MILF’s 105th Base Command, and a clash had ensued.BIFF is an MILF splinter group opposed to peace talks.The report also said that some 30 police commandos had been killed in the fight – the first violence since a peace agreement brokered by Malaysia between the government and MILF.MILF chief negotiator in the peace talks Mohagher Iqbal was reported to have confirmed the clash but neither the group nor the military would indicate who had been killed.“This is the first encounter between the MILF and (government forces) this year. Hopefully, this will be the last," Mohagher was quoted as saying.“The clash was triggered by a no-coordination police operation. They also attacked our position, that’s how our troops were dragged into the encounter."BIFF spokesman Abu Misri Mama told the daily that the clash began after SAF searched the area for Marwan and encountered the MILF’s 105th Base Command.The Army’s 6th Infantry Division public affairs unit chief Captain Joanne Petinglay said the military had been conducting clearing operations in Mamasapano, where the policemen were killed in a clash with BIFF fighters and other outlaws."We are still verifying the casualty figure, what we are doing is we assist the police in extracting the fatalities," Petinglay was quoted as saying. – January 26, 2015.

PLKN tangguh, kontrak bas RM167 juta?

Pusat Pemantauan dan Pendedahan Maklumat Kebangsaan (NOW) membangkitkan persoalan sama ada kontrak bas bagi Program Latihan Khidmat Negara (PLKN) yang dikatakan bernilai RM167 juta diteruskan walaupun program itu ditangguh.

Menurut NGO yang digerakkan pemimpin PKR itu, kontrak bermula Disember tahun lepas sehingga 2017 itu melibatkan penyediaan 416 buah bas bagi 82 kem latihan PLKN.

Justeru, soal pengarah NOW Akmal Nasir, adakah kerajaan akan membayar syarikat kontraktor walaupun tiada perkhidmatan bas yang diberikan bagi tahun 2015.

Malaysiakini sedang cuba menghubungi syarikat terbabit dan pihak PLKN bagi mendapatkan reaksi mereka berhubung isu itu.

Format : ให้ผู้ชมที่เป็นเด็ก อายุ 8 – 12 ปี ทางบ้านสมัครเข้ามากับทางรายการเพื่อเข้ามาเล่นเกมส์ เป็นเกมส์ง่ายๆที่ต้องอาศัยทักษะการฝึกซ้อม จากของใช้ที่หาได้ในบ้าน ตัวอย่างเช่น

- ดึงกระดาษทิชชู จากกล่องขนาด 150 แผ่น ภายในเวลา 1 นาที

- ขยับกล้ามเนื้อบนใบหน้าเพื่อให้คุกกี้เลื่อนจากหน้าผากมาเข้าปากให้ได้ ภายใน 1 นาที

- นำกระป๋องน้ำอัดลมมาเรียงต่อกันเป็นชั้นๆ ไล่จาก กระป๋อง 1 ใบ, ชั้นต่อไป เป็นกระเป๋อง 2 ใบ, เรียงไปเรื่อยๆ จนถึงชั้นที่ 4 ที่มีกระป๋อง 5 ใบโดยแต่ละชั้นจะมีจานกระดาษคั่นอยู่ ให้ได้ ภายใน 1 นาที

โดย ในแต่ละขั้นการันตีนอกจากน้องๆจะได้เงินรางวัลแล้ว ทางโรงเรียนจะได้ของรางวัลจากทางรายการด้วย

ที่บริเวณโรงเรียนศึกษาสงเคราะห์จิตต์อารี ต.พระบาท อ.เมือง จ.ลำปาง ได้มีนักเรียนกว่า 200 คน ออกมารวมตัวกันบริเวณโรงเรียน พร้อมถือป้ายประท้วงไล่ผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียนศึกษาสงเคราะห์จิตอารี คือ นางสุรางค์ วิสุทธิสระ ผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียน

การประท้วงในวันนี้เป็นเรื่องเกี่ยวกับการบริหารงานภายในโรงเรียน ซึ่งได้ชุมนุมปิดถนน 1 ช่องจราจรบริเวณหน้าโรงเรียน ทำให้การจราจรติดขัดแกนนำของนักเรียนได้ผลัดกันปราศรัยโจมตีการทำงานและพฤติกรรมของผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียนที่ทำตัวไม่เหมาะสมในการบริหารงบประมาณของโรงเรียน

จากนั้นเด็กนักเรียนทั้งหมดได้พากันเดินเท้าออกจากโรงเรียนเป็นระยะทางประมาณ 3 กิโลเมตร มาชุมนุมประท้วงที่โรงเรียนเทศบาล 7 บ้านสุขสวัสดิ์ ก่อนที่จะเตรียมเดินเท้าเดินทางไปต่อที่บริเวณลานข่วง นครห้าแยกหอนาฬิกา ลำปาง

โดยเด็กนักเรียนหนึ่งในแกนนำเปิดเผยว่า ตั้งแต่ผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียนคนดังกล่าวเข้ามาบริหารโรงเรียน ไม่มีนโยบายพัฒนาโรงเรียน ไม่สนับสนุนงบประมาณในกิจกรรมต่างๆ โดยเฉพาะช่วงวันเด็กที่ผ่านมาไม่มีการจัดกิจกรรมวันเด็ก

ประวัติ หนูแหม่ม

สุริวิภา กุลตังวัฒนา หรือชื่อเล่น แหม่ม หรือเรียกว่า พี่หนูแหม่ม นักแสดงและพิธีกรชาวไทย ที่มีรูปร่างอวบอ้วนแต่อารมณ์ดีเป็นลักษณะเด่น เป็นรู้จักที่รู้จักมากเมื่อเป็นพิธีกร รายการ “ยุทธการขยับเหงือก” ทางสถานีวิทยุโทรทัศน์กองทัพบก

เกิดเมื่อ 20 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2510 เกิดที่นครพนม เป็นพี่สาวคนโตของน้อง 2 คนในครอบครัวคนชั้นกลาง คุณพ่อรับราชการ คุณแม่เป็นแม่บ้าน ศึกษาที่โรงเรียนเซนต์โยเซฟท่าแร่สกลนคร อายุ 10 ขวบ ย้ายมากรุงเทพฯ ศึกษาที่โรงเรียนกุนนทีรุทธาราม เรียนจบชั้นมัธยมปีที่ 3 แล้วเลือกเรียนสายอาชีพ ระยะแรกเข้าเรียนพาณิชย์ที่โรงเรียนดรุณพิทยา สาขาการตลาด อายุ 16 ปี เรียนปี 1 ได้ส่งรูปหมู่ไปสมัครเป็นดารากับ “เปี๊ยก โปสเตอร์” ได้ยกทีมเล่นภาพยนตร์เรื่อง “วัยระเริง” เป็นเรื่องแรก รับค่าตัว 7,000 บาท แต่เนื่องจากไปถ่ายหนังจึงไม่ได้ไปสอบ ต้องลาออกจากโรงเรียน แล้วก็เลยเอาเงินค่าตัวไปสมัครเข้าเรียน โรงเรียนสันติราษฎร์วิทยาลัยจนเรียนจบ

เข้าวงการเต็มตัว ระยะนั้นได้ชื่อเป็นดาราประกอบวัยรุ่นที่ประสบความสำเร็จ แสดงภาพยนตร์กว่า 10 เรื่อง มีคนรู้จักมากขึ้น จากนั้นก็หันมาแสดงละคร เรื่องแรกกับค่ายกันตนาเรื่อง “ปีศาจในโลงศพ” จากนั้นเจ.เอส.แอล.ชวนเล่นละคร “มหัศจรรย์วันเสาร์” จบในตอน รวมไปถึงเคยเล่นละคร ร่วมกับพีระพงษ์ พลชนะ หรือ ต้อม เรนโบว์ ประมาณปี 2530 นักร้องดังในขณะนั้น ซึ่งเป็นชาวนครนพม ด้วยกัน ในเรื่อง “ความรักของเท่าทุน” ที่เล่นเป็นเพื่อนของต้อม เรนโบว์ พระเอกในเรื่อง และแหม่มเคยเล่นเป็นนางเอกมิวสิควิดีโอเพลง “หลงรักเธอ” ของ วงโอเวชั่น (ร้องโดย ก้อย พรพิมล ธรรมสาร หรือ ก้อย โอเวชั่น) ในอัลบั้มชุด “ไม่มีวันนั้นอีกแล้ว” จนกระทั่งมาโด่งดังจากรายการ “ยุทธการขยับเหงือก” เปิดประตูสู่อาชีพพิธีกรทันที

ในรายการ We Got Married ที่ออกอากาศไปตอนล่าสุด เมื่อวันที่ 24 มกราคมที่ผ่านมา ทางสถานี MBC ยูรา จากวง Girl’s Day ได้พูดคุยกับ ฮงจินยอง (ที่ร่วมรายการเดียวกัน) เกี่ยวกับเรื่องการถูกจูบที่แก้มจากสามีในรายการอย่าง ฮงจงฮยอน

ในตอนดังกล่าวได้เผยให้เห็นถึงทั้ง 3 คู่รักของ รายการ We Got Married ที่กำลังเตรียมตัวสำหรับงาน MBC Entertainment Awards ซึ่งในการซ้อมสำหรับงานดังกล่าวเองนั้น ยูรา และ นักร้อง ฮงจินยอง ได้พบกันที่หลังเวที

ยูราได้กล่าวกับฮงจินยองว่า “ฉันเห็นการจูบของพี่ด้วย" หยิบยกประเด็นเรื่องการจูบกันระหว่างฮงจินยองกับสามีในรายการอย่างนัมกุงมินที่จูบกันไปเมื่อตอนก่อนหน้านี้

กับการที่อยากจะแชร์ประสบการณ์ความคืบหน้าของตัวเองกับฮงจงฮยอนให้ได้ฟังบ้าง ยูราได้กล่าวขึ้นมาว่า “พวกเราก็จูบกันแล้วด้วย!" ต่อจากนั้น ทั้งสองสาวต่างก็หัวเราะและพูดคุยกันเกี่ยวกับเรื่องการจูบ ซึ่งในตอนที่คุยกันอยู่นั้น ฮเยรีเพื่อนร่วมวงยูราก็อยู่ในวงสนทนาด้วย และได้กล่าวออกมาว่า “แม่บ้านเขาต้องเป็นกันอย่างนี้แน่ๆเลย"

Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is a strong critic of Datuk Seri Najib Razak's administration.The proxy war between Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his chief critic, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, could end with the former prime minister adding yet another "scalp" – that of Najib's, the current prime minister – to his collection of felled political leaders, veteran DAP politician Lim Kit Siang suggested today.Lim, the DAP's party's parliamentary leader, said that Dr Mahathir had over the past 45 years "collected five scalps of top political leaders".These were Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tun Musa Hitam, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah, Lim said, referring to the moves Dr Mahathir had made on the last four during his years as prime minister to keep the influence and powers of these leaders in check. In the case of the Tunku, Malaysia's first prime minister, Dr Mahathir had written an open letter to criticise him."Will Datuk Seri Najib Razak become the sixth victim of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad?" Lim asked in a statement today.Najib, who is also president of the ruling coalition's lead party, Umno, is in a proxy war with Dr Mahathir and former finance minister Tun Daim Zainuddin through the government-owned media and cybertroopers.Dr Mahathir and Daim have emerged as strong critics of Najib's administration over his handling of the economy and national politics.But Lim also questioned if the current internal turmoil in Umno would result in Daim being prosecuted for corruption. If so, Lim said, this would be the first time Malaysia would haul its first big catch to court, in reference to the country's lacklustre performance in fighting corruption.The government-owned media has been attacking Daim with allegations of corruption, even giving coverage to the opposition's Anwar who said he was willing to help the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in its probe into Daim's overseas wealth.The MACC has resumed investigating Daim’s banking business overseas, years after he was cleared of wrongdoing.Although he did not name Daim, Lim said that Najib was not taking criticism against him lying down and suggested that the prime minister was using corruption claims to haul "the first tiger or crocodile" to court on such charges."Corruption arrests and prosecutions against tigers and crocodiles, whether ministerial rank or equivalents, are now a common scene in the anti-corruption campaigns in Indonesia and China, but there had not been a single 'tiger or 'crocodile' hauled to court and successfully prosecuted for corruption in Malaysia in over three decades," Lim said.He said that the Najib administration had trumpeted Malaysia's anti-corruption “achievements" by claiming that Malaysia’s ranking in the Transparency International (TI) Corruption Perception Index (CPI) 2014 was “the country’s best in 10 years".Lim, however, said that this was untrue, adding that come 2020, Malaysia risked being overtaken by China and Indonesia in both the ranking and score. – January 23, 2015.
