ในการเรียนรู้ภาษาอังกฤษนั้นการแค่นั่งฟัง อ่าน จด และจำอย่างเดียวจะไม่สามารถทำให้คุณเก่งขึ้นได้เลยหากคุณไม่หัดพยายามที่จะพูดและสื่อสารเป็นภาษาอังกฤษกับคนเป็นๆ อย่างชาวต่างชาติหรือเจ้าของภาษาได้ ก็จะยิ่งดี หรือถ้าจะให้พูดเก่งคุณก็ต้องพร้อมและกล้าที่จะ Speak Out นั่นเอง!

Beberapa isu penting yang telah lama membelenggu masyarakat di Labuan akan dibawa kepada perhatian agensi kerajaan berkaitan untuk diselesaikan, kata pengarah Jabatan Hal Ehwal Khas (JASA) Labuan Rahimah Lamat.

Antara isu-isu itu termasuk kemungkinan pemberhentian atau usaha mengecilkan jumlah tenaga kerja dalam sektor minyak dan gas, harga barangan semakin meningkat, kekurangan kemudahan di Kompleks Pasar Labuan Sentral yang baru siap dan usaha menambah pengundi baharu, katanya.

Rahimah berkata isu berkenaan telahpun dibangkitkan oleh masyarakat umum dan
para peniaga.

"Isu-isu itu akan dikemukakan kepada agensi berkaitan dan anggota Parlimen untuk tindakan segera,” katanya dalam mesyuarat jawatankuasa penyelarasan Kementerian Komunikasi dan Multimedia (KKMM).

Rahimah berkata kemungkinan pemberhentian tenaga kerja adalah isu sensitif memandangkan kerajaan baru sahaja mengumumkan penstrukturan semula bajet negara semalam.

“Ia adalah isu yang agak sensitif namun mesti diketengahkan kerana ia membabitkan orang awam. Isu barangan pengguna yang begitu lama dan kurangnya kemudahan di pasar baharu masih tertinggal di belakang dan perlu penyelesaian bagi menamatkan sungutan orang ramai,” katanya sambil menambah jabatannya juga sedang meneruskan usaha mendaftar pengundi baharu.

Indonesia tidak akan mendedahkan kepada umum laporan awal 30 hari berkaitan siasatan terhadap pesawat AirAsia yagn terhempas bulan lalu dan mengorbankan 162 orang, kata pegawai kanan bahagian keselamatan pengangkutan negara itu pada Rabu.

Pesawat jenis Airbus A320-200 itu hilang daripada layar radar pada 28 Disember ketika separuh perjalanan daripada Surabaya, bandar kedua terbesar di Indonesia, ke Singapura.

Tiada penumpang atau anak kapal terselamat.

Penyiasat sedang menganalisis data daripada perakam suara “kotak hitam” untuk menentukan sebab kenapa ia terhempas.

Menteri pengangkutan Indonesia Ignasius Jonan pada Selasa memberitahu parlimen, menurut data radar, pesawat itu bergerak ke atas lebih pantas daripada biasa pada minit-minit terakhirnya.

Penyiasat tidak menemui sebarang bukti bagi mengaitkannya dengan kegiatan keganasan.

Penyiasat dijangka menyerahkan laporan awal kepada Pertubuhan Penerbangan Awam Antarabangsa (ICAO) awal minggu lepas.

Peraturan pertubuhan itu menetapkan bahawa laporan awal harus difailkan dalam tempoh 30 tari selepas tarikh insiden.

“Sebulan selepas kemalangan kami hanya buat laporan awal.

“Tiada ulasan atau analisis,” kata Tatang Kurniadi, pengerusi jawatankuasa keselamatan pengangkutan Indonesia kepada pemberita.

Mangsa banjir Sabah meningkat petang ini

Jumlah mangsa banjir di Sabah setakat 6 petang ini meningkat kepada 1,352 orang berbanding 1,131 orang tengah hari tadi.

Jumlah mangsa banjir di Beaufort kini seramai 706 orang daripada 243 keluarga di satu pusat pemindahan, manakala di Membakut seramai 324 orang daripada 109 keluarga di dua pusat pemindahan.

Di Tenom, jumlah mangsa banjir ialah seramai 262 orang daripada 75 keluarga di lima pusat pemindahan, manakala Sipitang seramai 60 orang daripada 13 keluarga di satu pusat pemindahan.

Sementara itu, jumlah mangsa banjir di SARAWAK mencatatkan penurunan kepada 6,249 orang berbanding 6,350 orang pada tengah hari tadi, dan jumlah pusat pemindahan juga berkurangan daripada 42 kepada 37.

Jurucakap Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN) Sarawak berkata jumlah mangsa banjir di Kuching turun kepada 3,373 berbanding 3,396 tengah hari tadi, dengan dua pusat pemindahan ditutup, menjadikan jumlahnya kini 20.

Beliau berkata sejak tengah malam tadi, enam pusat pemindahan banjir sudah ditutup di Kuching, dan keadaan cuaca baik ketika ini menjanjikan perkembangan lebih positif.

Jumlah mangsa banjir di pusat pemindahan di Samarahan dan Limbang kekal seperti tengah hari masing-masing 1,598 di 11 pusat pemindahan dan 1,244 di lima pusat pemindahan manakala di Mukah 34 orang di satu pusat pemindahan.

Katanya beberapa jalan utama sekitar Slabi di daerah Serian ditutup kepada lalu lintas.

Di PERAK, jumlah mangsa banjir menurun kepada 77 orang daripada 18 keluarga berbanding 78 orang daripada 19 keluarga ditempatkan di dua pusat pemindahan banjir tengah hari tadi.

Jurucakap Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN) Perak berkata jumlah mangsa banjir di Perak Tengah sebanyak 43 orang manakala di Hulu Perak 34 orang.

Di KELANTAN, jurucakap Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN) negeri berkata jumlah mangsa banjir kekal 255 orang melibatkan 62 keluarga yang ditempatkan di lapan pusat pemindahan di Kuala Krai ekoran rumah mereka hanyut atau rosak teruk akibat banjir.

"จริงๆ วันที่ได้ดูรายการนี้นะครับ ก็แปลกใจเหมือนกัน ทีแรกไม่ทันสังเกต เพราะมันเป็นเหตุการณ์ที่ไม่ค่อยได้เกิดขึ้นในวงการสื่อสารมวลชนเสียเท่าไหร่ ผมก็ไม่ทันคิด จนได้เห็นมันกระดึ๊บๆ (หัวเราะ) มันขยับ แต่ด้วยความที่เรารู้จักช่องเราดี และได้เห็นสิ่งที่คอนเฟิร์มว่าป้ายสบายดีอยู่ข้างล่าง เราก็มั่นใจเลยว่าไมค์ช่อง 8 ต้องอยู่ตรงนั้นนิ และพอเห็นขอบสี่เหลี่ยมก็มั่นใจเลยว่ามันมีการบังเกิดขึ้นครับ ซึ่งก็ยังไม่ทราบเหตุผลว่าเพราะอะไร สุดท้ายก็พยายามถามสาเหตุ ถามทีมงานเบื้องหลัง ก็จนได้ความเห็นของน้องๆกลับมาครับ และเอามาสรุป ผมว่าตอนนี้ไม่ว่าใครทำอะไรก็แล้วแต่ ผมว่าเสียงส่วนใหญ่สุดท้ายประชาชนจะตัดสิน ไม่ว่าจะดีหรือไม่ดีก็แล้วแต่ ผมว่าสังคมเรามีคนพิจารณาอยู่แล้ว"

ตอนที่เห็นว่าโลโก้โดนบัง รู้สึกอย่างไรบ้าง?

"มองปรากฎการณ์แบบนี้ได้2อย่างครับ อันแรกเลยคือถ้าจะมองรูปแบบของสถานีนั้นในความเป็นเจ้าของสถานี มีสิทธิ์จะทำอะไรก็ได้ในคอนเท้นต์ของตัวเอง ผมว่าอันนั้นก็ควรจะให้สิทธิ์เขานะครับ แต่ถ้ามองในเรื่องของความเป็นสื่อมวลชน ผมก็จะรู้สึกแปลกๆนิดนึง รู้สึกว่ามันเป็นสิทธิที่สื่อสารมวลชนจะต้องมี และควรให้เกียรติกันนะครับ คือเวลาผมชวนทุกคนมางานที่ช่อง8 ผมว่าผมให้เกียรติทุกคนนะครับ ผมยินดีที่จะให้ทุกคนสัมภาษณ์ และยินดีที่ให้ไมค์ทุกไมค์มารวมอยู่ตรงหน้า เข้าใจในการทำการตลาดแบบนี้ดีมากๆด้วย ผมเลยรู้สึกว่าถ้าผมเป็นเจ้าบ้าน ผมก็จะต้อนรับทุกคนแบบดีที่สุดนะครับ แต่ผมแค่รู้สึกว่าทำไมเมื่อเราออกไปนอกบ้าน เราถึงไม่ได้รับการต้อนรับในแบบที่เราให้คนอื่น"

"เรื่องนี้ผมว่าจริงๆ เป็นเรื่องเล็กมาก แต่มันเป็นเรื่องเซ็นซิทีฟมาก ถามว่าเรารู้สึกไหม ในฐานะที่เป็นผู้บริหารช่อง คุณสุรชัยก็คงรู้สึกในฐานะที่เป็นผู้บริหารระดับสูง ผมว่าเรามีอารมณ์ตรงนั้นอยู่แล้ว เป็นอารมณ์ที่เราไม่ถูกให้เกียรติเท่านั้นเอง"

"เท่าที่ทราบไม่มีนะครับ ถ้าต่อสายน่าจะคุยกันตั้งแต่แรก บางทีแก้ไขที่ปลายทางเลยทำให้เลยจุดที่จะต้องมาคุยกันอย่างนั้นแล้ว"

บางคนถึงขนาดขุดคุ้ยถึงสาเหตุที่ผ่านมา ว่าเป็นแบบนี้เริ่มต้นจากสาเหตุใด?

"คือแบบนี้ครับ พอทุกคนเห็นกระแสข่าวที่เกิดขึ้น ต่างก็คิดกันหลายอย่างและลำดับเป็นความเห็นของตัวเอง อยู่ที่ว่าจะหยิบเรื่องไหนขึ้นมา แต่จริงๆ แล้วมันอาจจะไม่มีอะไรก็ได้ อาจจะเป็นไปได้ว่า ณ วันนี้ สนามแข่งขันค่อนข้างรุนแรง ผมถือว่าเป็นการแข่งขันที่หนักพอสมควรทีเดียว และก็จะมีนโยบายใหม่ๆ คิดแบบนั้น เพราะทุกคนมีนโยบายของตัวเองได้ ช่อง8 มีนโยบายแต่ไม่ได้เป็นแบบนั้น ก็ต้องยอมรับในนโยบายของแต่ละคน"

เหมือนเรื่องราวจะบานปลายเรื่อยๆ ทั้งๆที่ก่อนหน้านี้เป็นพันธมิตรกัน?

"คือผมมองไว้ว่าถึงแม้จะมีเหตุอะไร แต่ทุกๆ คนจะอยู่กลุ่มเดียวกันอยู่แล้ว ผมเจอผู้บริหารช่อง3 ก็บ่อย ร่วมงานกันก็เคย ก็ไม่ได้มีประเด็นอะไร เรียกว่าเป็นเรื่องของนโยบายมากกว่า มองว่าอุตสาหกรรมนี้ยังไงก็ต้องเดินต่อ ไม่ว่าอะไรจะเกิดขึ้น เรามีสนามเดียวกัน ลงไปเล่นในสนาม อยากให้เล่นตามกติกาที่กำหนด ไม่มีคนเล่นนอกกติกา คนดูก็ไม่สามารถลงมาทำร้ายผู้เล่น อยากให้ทุกคนขาวสะอาด แพ้ชนะเป็นเรื่องปกติ เราก็ไม่เคยบอกว่าเราจะชนะหรือแพ้ ให้เป็นตามตัวเลขเรตติ้งดีกว่า"

ได้เห็นที่ทางช่อง3 ทำเป็นตัววิ่งขอโทษหรือยัง?

"ก็ดูทีวีทุกช่องอยู่แล้ว วันนั้นบังเอิญไปเจอรายการที่เป็นประเด็น พอดูไปจนจบก็ไม่เห็นอะไร ก็แปลกใจนิดหน่อยที่เห็นอะไรเลขแปด แปด ที่มันวิ่งเร็วๆ ครับ เลยสงสัยว่าพูดถึงเราหรือเปล่า ก็นั่งรอดู พอมันวิ่งมาอีกรอบก็เข้าใจแล้วว่าจะสื่อสารอะไร แต่ก็ต้องใช้เวลาในการสื่อสารกับเมสเสจนั้นนานพอสมควร เลยไม่แน่ใจว่าประชาชนทั่วไปจะรับเมสเสจเดียวกับผมหรือเปล่า"

ทางเราเซ็นซิทีฟกับเรื่องนี้แค่ไหน?

"โลโก้ที่กว่าจะออกมาได้ใช้เวลาเกือบครึ่งปี ผมก็อยากให้ทุกคนเห็นเนอะ มันน่ารักดี สีสันเยอะแยะ ผมว่าก็ให้มันอิสระตามที่มันจะต้องเป็นแล้วกัน"

"ก็มาสิ ถ้ามาก็ให้สัมภาษณ์ นี่มองหาเขาคนแรกเลยจริงๆ (ยิ้ม) ผมไม่มีอะไรเลย แค่รู้สึกอย่างเดียวว่าแหมก็แค่อยากทำข่าว เราก็ไปทุกวันก็ไป ทำไมวันนี้ไปไม่ได้แค่นั้นเอง"

A hawker in Gurney Drive preparing wantan noodles which is among the 13 Penang street food which only locals should cook. – The Malaysian Insider pic by Hasnoor Hussain, January 19, 2015.In the food paradise of Penang, 13 types of street food have been identified as popular local specialities that should be cooked by Malaysians as the state takes its first step towards retaining the unique taste and flavour of its famous cuisine.They are assam laksa, char koay teow, curry mee, hokkien mee, lor bak (avillion bak), wantan noodles, pasembor, chee cheong fun, mee sotong, char koay kak, oh chien (fried oysters), koay teow th'ng and nasi lemak.The food were "certified" by the public as famous local street food in a study conducted by the Penang Municipal Council (MPPP) last year to collect feedback from the people on the proposal to ban foreigners from being employed as the main cooks at hawker stalls to protect the state's food heritage.With the people's approval secured, Penang launched the "Penang Street Food" tagline at the Gurney Drive hawker centre last night.At the launch, 21 local hawkers offering the 13 types of street food and who cooked the food themselves without hiring foreigners to do it, were each issued a special sticker to indicate that the food they served was authentic.Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, who personally presented the stickers to the hawkers, said it is important for the state to protect its local flavours because Penang's street food is an attraction that draws visitors to the state from around Malaysia and the world.He said Penang could not risk the good name of its street food and lose tourists, who also visited the state because they enjoyed the food."We have listened to the criticism against the proposal to ban foreigners from being employed as main cooks at hawker stalls selling our street food."We ran a survey and found 87% of the respondents supporting the move. There is nothing discriminatory about it and there are no double standards," he said.When the proposal was made last year, most people in Penang, even hawkers, were supportive of the move.However, there were also others who felt that barring foreigners from cooking was discriminatory; while some worried that hawkers would be limited to selling only local food and not those from other culinary cultures like sushi or pizza.

The authorities are giving all stall operators a one-year grace period to get used to the idea.Penang local government committee chairman Chow Kon Yeow said the authorities would also be implementing the new move step-by-step.He said the stickers would be issued to local hawkers selling the 13 types of food at council-owned hawker centres around the state first."The list of popular local street food may also be expanded in future following more surveys to ask the people which street food they think is popular and they enjoy eating," he said.As part of the MPPP's ongoing efforts to improve and help maintain the quality of Penang street food, the council is also asking members of the public to share their thoughts and list down the most popular types of street food in the state.Their ideas and views can be emailed to pelesenan@mppp.gov.my. – January 19, 2015.
